The Northern Gulf Institute provides broad data services/support, data development, and data stewardship for NOAA NCEI products and mission. Specific efforts include: 1) provide guidance and training through workshops and presentation for data standardization for the The Coastal and Marine Ecological Classification Standard (CMECS); 2) provide a unified public interface for timely and easy/convenient public access to the restoration and coastal data collections (state and federal ) for the Coastal Ecosystem Data Assembly Center (CEDAC); 3) provide uncrewed systems product outreach, website/portal design, and data stewardship; 4) provide product design from beginning to end, complete to production, training and outreach for the Data Integration Visualization Exploration and Reporting (DIVER) Explorer; 5) provide geological data services, product design, data compilation with training and outreach. This work facilitates future data automation and development of cloud-based data products, allowing for crucial NOAA data to be archived for public interest and scientific contribution. Multiple scientific disciplines (zoology, ecology, biology, climatology, evolutionary biology, and more) have access to these data.
