This project is to improve existing and create new post-processing and visualization capabilities for the following National Ocean Service (NOS) forecast modeling systems: The Global Surge and Tide Operational Forecast System (STOFS-2D-Global) and a new 3D layered component of the STOFS for the Atlantic Basin, The Surge and Tide Operational Forecast System-3D (STOFS-3D-Atlantic). This project directly supported upgrades to the STOFS-2D-Global by displaying daily operational model output and upgraded Global STOFS versions. Innovative storm surge and wind products for the NOS models have been implemented, adapted, and improved. Results are disseminated through the interactive CERA website https://cera.costalrisk.live. The Coastal Emergency Risks Assessment (CERA) infrastructure is an innovative real-time storm surge and inundation web-based visualization system showing the impact of impending and active tropical storms. CERA uses open-source web technologies, sophisticated program languages and modules. It leverages NOAA services such as https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov or S3 cloud services for data retrieval. This project helped to provide better and more informative flood risk maps, which will allow NOS/OCS/NSD to more cost effectively prepare for and respond to daily water conditions
